Terms of Use
Last updated August 15, 2026
Agreement
These terms cover the RuleThemAll website and the RuleThemAll macOS application. By using either, you agree to them. Licensed copies purchased from the Mac App Store are also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which controls if it conflicts with these terms for the app itself.
The app
RuleThemAll watches folders you select and can move, copy, rename, or notify you about files that match your rules. You are responsible for the rules you create and the folders you grant access to. The app is designed to avoid silent overwrites, skip incomplete downloads, and record actions in a timeline, but it cannot guarantee that every automation will match your intent.
License
The free tier lets you use a limited number of folders and rules. RuleThemAll Pro unlocks additional capacity and is sold as a subscription or lifetime purchase through the Mac App Store. Existing rules keep running if a subscription lapses; creating beyond the free limits requires an active Pro entitlement.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app to interfere with files you are not authorized to change, to circumvent security, or in any way that violates applicable law. The app does not run shell scripts or upload files to third-party services.
Disclaimer
The software and website are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. File organization is inherently capable of putting files somewhere you did not expect; use the timeline and undo, and keep backups of important data.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, arising from use of RuleThemAll. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
